The International Classification of Goods and Services (Nice Classification) was established by the Nice Agreement Concerning the Establishment of the International Classification of Goods and Services for Trademark Registration, adopted in Nice in 1957. This classification contains a list of 34 classes of goods and 11 classes of services. The Republic of Albania is a member of this agreement since 9 September 2003 and pursuant to Law 9947, dated 07.07.2008, "On Industrial Property", as amended, the trademark registration application must contain the list of goods and/or services, grouped into classes, according to this classification.

INTERNATIONAL CLASSIFICATION FOR GOODS AND SERVICES(NICE CLASSIFICATION)

The International Classification of Figurative Elements of Trademarks (Vienna Classification) was established by the "Vienna Agreement establishing the International Classification of Figurative Elements of Trademarks", approved in Vienna in 1973. The Republic of Albania is a member of this agreement since 16 January 2019.

INTERNATIONAL CLASSIFICATION FO FIGURATIVE ELEMENTS OF TRADEMARKS (VIENNA CLASSIFICATION)

The International Classification for Industrial Designs (Locarno Classification) was created by the Locarno Agreement for the Establishment of the International Classification for Industrial Designs, adopted at Locarno in 1968. This classification contains a list of 32 classes. The Republic of Albania is a member of this agreement since September 9, 2003.

INTERNATIONAL CLASSIFICATION FOR INDUSTRIAL DESIGNS (LOCARNO CLASSIFICATION)

The International Patent Classification (IPC) was established in 1971 by the Strasbourg Agreement. IPC classifies the technology into 8 groups which have approximately 70,000 subgroups. The Republic of Albania is a member of this agreement since July 24, 2007.
