The General Directorate of Industrial Property informs interested parties that on September 10-nth, a "Regional Seminar for Judges and IP Enforcement Professionals on intellectual property issues" will be organized online.

This activity is organized for the fifth year in a row by the Latvian Intellectual Property Office in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

The main objective of this seminar is to bring together all representatives of the justice system, judges and IP enforcement professionals to discuss the latest developments in the field of intellectual property and especially one of the most critical areas remains the implementation of IP and human rights.

There will be prominent speakers from the Supreme Court of Latvia, the Federal Court of Germany, the Court of The Hague, the University of Warsaw, etc.

The main issues to be discussed will be Patent litigation, protection of unregistered trademarks, protection and enforcement of IP rights in the light of fundamental rights, Nice Classification System, etc. The language of the seminar will be in English.
