Ms. Rudina Bollano

Acting Director at the General Directorate of Industrial Property (GDIP),
Ms. Rudina Bollano

For more than two decades, Ms. Rudina Bollano has been one of the key figures of the National Intellectual Property Protection System in Albania. As a senior leader of the DPPI since 2006, she has ensured professional service, quality, and transparency in every process, transforming the institution into a point of reference for European standards.

With a strategic vision, Ms. Bollano has led the full transformation of patent and trademark examination processes, contributing to Albania’s successful accession to the European Patent Organization (EPO) in 2010, as well as to the rapid digitalization of public services. These achievements have reduced bureaucracy, accelerated services, and increased the credibility of the system.

For 10 years, Ms. Bollano has represented Albania at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the European Patent Organization (EPO), taking part in international negotiations and serving as Albania’s representative in the decision-making bodies of these organizations.

She has built strong bridges of cooperation with institutions, helping strengthen national capacities and contributing to making industrial property a driver of the country’s economic development.

Initially graduating in Natural Sciences for Mathematics (MSc) at the University of Tirana in 1993, and later completing studies in Applied Mathematics in Finance (Bachelor, 2007) and a second-level Master’s degree in International Management & Marketing with a focus on Industrial Property (2012), she has further enhanced her professional formation through advanced training at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Patent Organization (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and other prestigious global intellectual property institutions.
