About the Training Center

The Training Center is part of the organizational structure of the General Directorate of Industrial Property and carries out training activities in this field.

The Center is the structure responsible for strengthening the role of the DPPI as an institution that not only registers and recognizes rights over industrial property objects but also plays an active role in enhancing the protection of these rights in Albania.

The mission of the Center is to train institutions directly or indirectly involved in the industrial property protection system, such as customs, courts, the prosecutor's office, the economic crime police, the State Market Supervision Inspectorate, authorized representatives, industrial property experts, as well as to raise awareness among the public, businesses, and interest groups.

The main activity of the Center is:

-Training Programs

  • The Center offers continuous training programs and preparatory courses for candidates for authorized representatives and industrial property experts.
  • The Center offers training programs to increase the level of information and knowledge of institutions involved in the Industrial Property Protection System in the country.
  • The Center offers training programs to increase the level of information and knowledge of businesses.
  • The Center offers training programs to increase the level of information and knowledge of students in primary schools, both public and private.
  • The Center offers training programs to increase the level of information and knowledge of information centers at universities and beyond.
  • The Center offers training programs to enhance the professional capacities of DPPI employees.
  • The Center can organize and offer online training in its environment, organized by:
    • The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO),
    • The European Patent Office (EPO),
    • The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO),
    • Other offices with which the DPPI has cooperation agreements.
  • For the development and implementation of curricula, criteria, and standards for increasing knowledge and professional development, the Center collaborates with:
    • National institutions,
    • Local or foreign partners,
    • Professional organizations,
    • Counterpart Industrial Property Offices,
    • Universities and public and private schools, etc.
  • The Center may collaborate with prestigious institutions for international certifications.
