In its fourth edition, the Conference will bring together leading international experts and actors to discuss the latest developments and key issues in mediation and alternative dispute resolution in the field of intellectual property.
We welcome numerous delegates from IP offices, EU institutions, policy makers, judges, users of international IP systems, representatives from industry as well as academia.
The main theme of the conference is "A Business Case for Business" and focuses on the role that mediation has in supporting the competitiveness of EU businesses, especially those in the IP-intensive economy, by resolving their IP disputes in an efficient manner. efficient and avoiding litigation costs.
The IP Mediation Conference will be held at a particularly important time for the EU IP ecosystem, including the EU IP Offices and EUIPO, most likely in order to strengthen cooperation between the offices, such as through the creation of the new EUIPO Mediation Centre, the recently proposed Regulation on Standard Basic Patents (SEP) and Supplementary Patent Certificate (SPC).
